Jen took an unusual journey to the entertainment industry. As a native of the “Sweetest Place on Earth” (Hershey, PA), Jen was active in theatre as a child and teenager. Thinking that theatre might be too risky to pursue as a career, she followed different passions in college, attending Penn State University where she majored in journalism, political science, and psychology. On the side, she sang with the award-winning collegiate a cappella group, Pennharmonics. The Pennharmonics competed in the ICCAs (the competition made famous in Pitch Perfect!) and made it to the finals where they got to sing on Broadway.
Journalism was an exciting pursuit, where Jen got to work at WABC-TV in NYC, Live! with Regis and Kelly, and the Charlie Rose Show. She then got her master’s degree in public policy from Georgetown University and worked at the Department of Homeland Security for 4 years before deciding to follow her true passion—acting. By some immense stroke of luck, Jen booked a national Walmart commercial right out of the gate. And she was officially hooked. Since then, Jen has appeared in more than 50 commercials. She has also starred in several independent films, winning the Best Supporting Actress award at the Fusion International Film festival in London for one of her roles. She has played both good guys and bad guys on TV shows and has played a variety of exciting, dynamic roles in professional theatre. She is also a proud member of SAG-AFTRA. In addition to acting full-time, Jen runs a children’s theatre company and is a private acting coach. She is currently writing her first screenplay. |
